About
Olivia Peters is a PhD Candidate in Sociology where she studies intimate partner stalking victimization, help-seeking, and the epistemology of risk. Her broader areas of work include mixed research methods, women’s health, and deviance.
In addition to her dissertation research, she works as a consultant and on-screen expert for true crime media and is involved in research grants on cybercrime and women’s cardiovascular health. She is a recipient of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Graduate Scholarships at both the MA and PhD level, the Ontario Women’s Health Doctoral Scholars Award (2024-25) and the Rob Wildeboer Scholarship (2025). Most recently, Olivia has been featured on podcasts and radio shows discussing IPS, risk assessment, and femicide prevention.
