    Research Interests

    Valérie's dissertation explores experiences of violence and resistance in the lives of women with disabilities in Canada. She adopts an intersectional approach to better understand how multiple systems of oppression shape agency and collective resistance.

    Valérie is committed to transformative research with the goal of amplifying the voices of women with disabilities in feminist activism and scholarship about gender-based violence. Her research interests also include healthcare violence, eugenics, and transnational feminism.
