Three Majors to Choose From
Applied Human Nutrition (AHN)
Students in Applied Human Nutrition can complete an optional area of emphasis in dietetics. This specialization is in compliance with the accreditation standards of EQual/Accreditation Canada and is the first step for students interested in becoming a registered dietitian (RD).
Child Studies (CSTU)
Students in the Child Studies major will complete guaranteed practicum placements gaining 500+ hours of practical experience working with children in a variety of settings and be eligible to apply for membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators upon graduation.
Family Studies and Human Development (FSHD)
Students complete up to 336 hours in guaranteed practicum placements allowing skill development and focusing on one or more areas including adult development and gerontology, sexuality and relationships, and youth studies.
