What is Economics?
As an economist, you will possess an in-depth knowledge of economics to help you understand the implications of business and economic trends and the economic issues of our time, from local to global levels.
The skills you acquire throughout the program will empower you with the tools to tackle various interests, from learning how to invest intelligently, to changes in tax systems or health insurance, even to current market trends in the location of your own home.
Students in the Economics ECON program may also be interested in studying Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics, Mathematical Economics, Accounting, Management Economics and Finance, Environmental Economics and Policy, or other majors.
Gain Valuable Experience Through Co-op
The Economics Co-op provides an integrated academic/work experience for students with co-op employer organizations, providing you with valuable, hands-on work experience in the economic field. Students in the program complete 4-5 work terms while fulfilling the requirements of their honours Economics program.
