High Impact and Accessible: Exploring barriers to access in experiential learning.
With Bailey Bingham.

Experiential learning and other high impact practices (HIPs) are receiving a lot of attention these days – for good reason. These practices have been shown to be infinitely beneficial to students, making them a focus across university campuses. Despite these efforts, many students are still unable to access these high impact educational opportunities. In this session we will investigate reasons why students decline (or are unable) to participate in high impact opportunities on campus and explore ways to reduce these barriers and promote accessibility in experiential learning.

Bailey Bingham is an MSc Student in the department of Integrative Biology, studying Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
