A grade of 70% in the mathematics courses of semesters 1 and 2 is normally required for admission to semester 3 of this program. Otherwise a student is advised to select electives from a subject or subjects to which they wishes to apply statistics.
+Students who have completed the MPC2 program in first year will have satisfied the requirement to do 19-104, 19-105, 27-150, 27-160, 27-170, 63-120, 63-121 (or 63-100, 63-101 or 63-108, 63-208), 76-100, 76-101 (or 76-107, 76-108 or 76-111, 76-113).
*If 89-210 taken in semester 3, 89-205 is recommended but not required.
**A specialized honours in statistics must include 4 or more 400 level courses in statistics.
Semester 1-3 inclusive are identical to the specialized honours program.

**A statistics major must include 4 or more 400 level courses in Statistics (which may include 63-407, 63-424 and must include at least 12,
300 or 400 level courses for the program committee approved list of science electives.
At least 6 Statistics courses must be included among the 10 courses in Mathematics and Statistics. The required courses are 63-120, 63-121, 63-215 or 63-216, 89-204, 89-210, 89-205, 89-310, 89-311. The other recommended courses are 89-321, 89-332, 89-324, 89-435. (Students are strongly urged to take mathematics courses as electives such as 63-213, 63-220.)
