Course Description

03-228 Architecture from the Renaissance to Today W(3-0)

An investigation of architectural form and content from 1400 in Italy to the present with emphasis on the major historical figures from Michelangelo to the leading contemporary practitioners. Consideration will be given to the role of architecture in the shaping of our visual consciousness and to its central importance in the development of urban centres from Renaissance Italy to contemporary Canada including Guelph.
