The general properties, classification, cultivation and replication of the pathogenic animal viruses, rickettsias and chlamydias of veterinary importance will be described. Attention will be given to general aspects of pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis and control of viral diseases, and to the systematic study of the viruses, rickettsias, and chlamydias which cause disease in animals.
