Award Description

Erin Demers Memorial Scholarship

The family and friends of Erin Demers, a first-year student at the University of Guelph who was killed in a car accident in 1996, have established this scholarship in her memory. Apply to the Associate Registrar, Student Financial Services by April 1, along with at least one supporting reference letter from a Prairie Hall Residence Assistant, Residence Manager , or Officer.

Qualifications: Out-of-province student who has resided in Prairie Hall during the first semester and who has a cumulative average of 70%. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need and who have participated significantly in extracurricular activities.

Amount: One annual award of $500 payable in two instalments of $250 each in the student's third and fourth semesters
