James and Marjorie Pinkney Studentship Research Award |
This award was established by Dr. R. James Pinkney, a distinguished alumnus of OVC '37. Dr. Pinkney was a veterinary practitioner in Cooksville for over forty years and received numerous awards for sportsmanship in agricultural competition and leadership in agriculture. The award will enable an OVC undergraduate student in years 1, 2, or 3 to pursue, during the summer months, a research project related to the health and welfare of animals. Students taking part in the year 3 externship program may receive a portion of the award for the non-externship portion of the summer. Applications must be submitted by the candidates and their supervising faculty members to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, OVC, by March 15. |
