Course Description

35-3211/2**renumbered to 35-385** Concepts and Techniques of Theatrical Design F(2-3)/W(2-3) [1.00]

A study of conceptual approaches to set, costume, lighting and sound design for the theatre, together with practical exposure to the fundamental techniques of design, including drafting, the preparation of lighting plots, costume rendering, and special techniques for theatrical communication. This is a two-semester course. When you select it you will be registered in 35-3211 in the Fall and 35-3212 in the Winter semester. A grade will not be assigned to 35-3211 until 35-3212 has been completed.

Prerequisites: 35-105, 35-222.
