47-343 20th Century Drama (in German) W(3-1) [0.50]

This course is offered in conjunction with 55-343 for students in the German Minor who will study texts in German. Lectures are in English. German drama from 1900 to ca. 1960 within a European context. Dramatists studied will include Brecht, Strindberg, Kaiser, Hofmannsthal, Dürrenmatt, Frisch, Shaw, O'Neill and Sartre. (Offered in even-numbered years.)

Prerequisites: 47-256, 47-259.

Exclusions: 55-343.
