47-345 20th Century Prose and Poetry (in German) F(3-1) [0.50]

This course is offered in conjunction with 55-345 for students in the German Minor who will study texts in German. Lectures are in English. Short stories and poetry of George, Hofmannsthal, Mann, Kafka, Brecht. A survey of the Expressionist movement and of "The New Realism". (Offered in even-numbered years.)

Prerequisites: 47-256, 47-259.

Exclusions: 55-345.
