Course Description

63-424 Advanced Topics in Modelling W(3-0) [0.50]

A series of modules on advanced topics in mathematical modelling techniques and the preparation of a written report. Emphasis will be placed on the efficient use of computer resources and appropriate software. Module topics usually include transportation and assignment problems, minimum cost flow problems and network simplex methods, Markov chains, queuing theory.

Prerequisites: 63-324.
