Course Description

92-456 Marine and Freshwater Adaptations W(3-0) [0.50]

Adaptations of organisms to various aquatice environments including marine polar, deep-sea, intertidal, fresh-water and alkaline lakes, will be examined. A mechanistic approach to establishing the strategies of environmental adaptation will be used. Emphasis will be placed on biochemical and biomechanical adaptations.

Prerequisites: 19-258, 76-108, 15-345.
Exclusions: 92-426.
