Adaptations of organisms to various aquatice environments including marine polar, deep-sea, intertidal, fresh-water and alkaline lakes, will be examined. A mechanistic approach to establishing the strategies of environmental adaptation will be used. Emphasis will be placed on biochemical and biomechanical adaptations. |
