Information Systems and Human Behaviour

Interdisciplinary Program.

Coordinator: E.C. Dalrymple-Alford, Ext 3510, Department of Psychology

As computers and communications play progressively more subtle and significant roles in society, this program of study brings together the elements of 3 disciplines to provide students with an understanding of technical, behavioural and social aspects of information technology. This program of study is a co-operative effort of the Department of Computing and Information Science, Department of Psychology, and Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Students in this program will be advised by the program coordinator, who will counsel them about the possibility of exemption from 27-160 (as outlined in the listing for Computing and Information Science) and about supporting courses in Mathematics.
