Award Description

Honours Physics Scholarships

Offered by the Department of Physics, these awards will be made based on the student's admission average and paid in a number of instalments (for example, $2,000 in year 1 and $1,000 in each years 2, 3 and 4 for a $5,000 scholarship; $1,000 in year 1, $800 in year 2, $600 in each of years 3 and 4 for a $3,000 scholarship; $1,000 in year 1, $800 in year 2 and $600 in year 3 for a $2,400 scholarship; and $1,000 in year 1 and $800 in year 2 for a $1,800 scholarship). Second and subsequent instalments will be given subject to the student continuing full-time with at least a 70% average in an physics major program, and taking the physics courses required in that program. Application not necessary.

Qualifications: Students entering the first semester level of the B.Sc. program with high academic standing and a declared intention of pursuing an major in Physics, Biophysics, Chemical Physics, or Theoretical Physics, or a Co-op stream of these programs.
Amount: A number of awards of between $1,800 and $5,000 depending on admission average
