Award Description

Elaine Laurin Scholarships

Mrs. Elaine Laurin, because of her compassion for animals, her long standing interest in veterinary medicine and her desire to help talented, but financially constrained, veterinary students, has generously established three continuing awards for students who have been admitted to the Pre-veterinary year and who continue through to completion of the four-year DVM program. The recipients chosen in 1995 will continue to receive the awards each year through to completion of the DVM program, provided they have achieved, on entry to DVM years 1, 2, 3 and 4 averages of at least 80% and demonstrate continued need of substantial financial assistance. Qualifications: Academic performance and demonstrated financial need.

Amount: Three continuing awards of $5,000 per annum for students who have been admitted to the Pre-veterinary year and who continue through to completion of the 4-year DVM program.
