Award Description

George and Margaret J. Miles Memorial Bursary

Established by the family to honour the memory of the parents, George and Margaret J. Miles, life long supporters of education. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form and a letter describing involvement in extra-curricular activities to Student Financial Services by December 1.

Qualifications: All undergraduate arts and social science students with demonstrated financial need who are in or beyond semester 3 and have at least a 75% cumulative average in all courses completed to date are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students who participate and provide leadership in extra-curricular or community activities (examples include student government, charitable organization, volunteer work, Big Brothers/Sisters, contributions to school and/or community, etc.).

Amount: One award of $1,500
