*selection of electives is subject to the following rules:

  1. At least 1.00 in the program must be in the Arts and Social Sciences.
  2. It is recommended that the student choose an "Area of Focus" consisting of 2.50 credits which may be in subjects such as Biomedical Sciences, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computing and Information Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant Science or Toxicology. Lists of approved courses for each area of focus are available from the departmental advisor.
  3. Students who lack a background in computer science are recommended to select CIS*1650 as 1 of their electives by the end of the second year.
