Gordon Ashton Scholarship
Established in memory of Prof. Gordon Ashton, member of the Department of Physics and Mathematics (1956-1966) and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (1966-1986), with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services, by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [ I4535]
Qualification(s): All statistics majors who have completed a minimum of 10.00 credits with a cumulative average of at least 70% and who have demonstrated financial need. Selection is by the College of Physical and Engineering Science Awards Committee, on the recommendation of Student Financial Services, from eligible students assessed as having the greatest financial need. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Catherine and Brian Berg Memorial Bursary
Established by the families of Brian and Cathy Berg, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program Apply by completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I3542]

Mary Beverley-Burton Travel Scholarships
Established by the Department of Zoology, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program in honour of Professor Mary Beverley-Burton, Department of Zoology (1968-95), whose research on monogenean worms took her all over the globe. This award is to assist students in attending field courses offered by the Department. Apply by letter with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by February 1. Qualification(s): Students in the B.SC. program who are in good academic standing with at least a 70% cumulative average and with demonstrated financial need. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Graham, Fraser, and Trevor Bosch Scholarships in Chemistry and Biochemistry
Established by Mr. Martin Bosch of the Guelph Soap Company, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Students with high academic standing registered in Year 3 (minimum of 10.00 - 14.75 credits) or Year 4 (at least 15.00 credits) of studies will be notified by the Awards Committee and Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and advised to complete a Need Assessment Form in Student Financial Services by February 1st. Qualification(s): Outstanding undergraduate students in the B.SC. Chemistry or Biochemistry majors, or in the B.SC.(Tech.) Applied Pharmaceutical Chemistry program, who have demonstrated financial need. The recipients with demonstrated financial need and preference will be given to Year 3 students with the highest cumulative averages in at least three 2000 level chemistry or biochemistry courses taken in Year 2. In the event that there are no qualified candidates in Year 3, students in Years 2 and 4 will be considered, based on demonstrated financial need and the highest cumulative averages in at least three 3000 level chemistry and biochemistry courses taken in Year 3. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

C.B.S. ACCESS Scholarships
Established by Alumni and friends of C.B.S., with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. Not tenable with the Hagen Undergraduate Access Scholarship. ACCESS AWARD [I4526]
Qualification(s): Full-time students beyond semester 4 with demonstrated financial need. Awarded to the students with the highest cumulative averages registered in any major in the College of Biological Science. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Class of O.A.C.'33 Bursaries
Established by the class of O.A.C.'33 on the occasion of their 65th Anniversary, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I3531]

Class of O.A.C.'36 Bursaries

Qualification(s): An O.A.C. degree student enrolled in any degree program who has demonstrated financial need. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Computing and Information Science Scholarships
Established by the friends and alumni of the College of Physical and Engineering Science, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program to encourage students with financial need to pursue graduate study in the Department of Computing and Information Science. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I4516]
Qualification(s): Students with demonstrated financial need, entering semester 7 or higher. Students must be registered in a major in Computing and Information Science with a minimum cumulative average of 75% and have submitted an application to the graduate program in that department. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards). Selection will be based on academic achievement.
Amount: Two awards of $850
CPES Dean's Scholarship - ACCESS
Established by a number of industrial, commercial and public sector corporations, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. This award may be held once only. ACCESS AWARD [I4527]
Qualification(s): Students with demonstrated financial need registered in any major program in CPES in, or beyond, second year. A minimum 80% cumulative average is required. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Food Science Co-op Bursaries
Established by the Knechtel Scholarship fund and the Toronto section of CIFST, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, to assist with Co-op fees. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. ACCESS AWARD [I3509]
Qualification(s): Students registered in the Food Science Co-op program in semester 1 and confirmed registration in the Food Science Co-op program in semester 2. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Lady Glencora Bursaries

Qualification(s): Undergraduate students in the D.V.M. program, students registered in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and enrolled in a department of the Ontario Veterinary College, and undergraduate students in the honours B.Sc. Hagen Undergraduate Scholarship
Established by Rolf Hagen, founding president of Rolf C. Hagen Inc., Canadian pet food and products supplier, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Alf and Mary Hales Undergraduate Scholarship in Food Science
Alf and Mary Hales, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program have established this scholarship to Food Science students. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. ACCESS AWARD [I4510]
Qualification(s): Student registered in semesters 5 to 8 of the B.SC. program in Food Science with a demonstrated interest in Meat Science and demonstrated financial need. David R. Leach Memorial Bursary
Provided in memory of David R. Leach by his family, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. David entered O.A.C. in 1969 as a member of O.A.C.'73 and graduated with a B.SC. in Agriculture in 1974. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Qualification(s): O.A.C. undergraduate degree or diploma student who is physically disabled as determined by the Centre for students with Disabilities, has satisfactory academic standing and who has demonstrated financial need. Leroux Bursaries

Walter and Marian MacDougald Scholarship
Established by the family of Walter and Marian MacDougald on the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents, in recognition of their gift of life-long learning to their five children, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply to Student Financial Services by October 7 with a completed Need Assessment Form and a résumé that includes evidence of demonstrated leadership. ACCESS AWARD [I4530]
Qualification(s): Students demonstrating financial need with a minimum of 10.0 credits and less than 15.0 credits and who are in the following programs/majors/minors: B.A.SC., B.SC.(Agr.), B.SC.(Env.), B.SC. (Food Science, Animal Biology, Nutrition, or Forest Science), or D.V.M. are eligible. Students will have demonstrated leadership and a commitment to excellence and a minimum cumulative average of 70%. Recipients will be enrolled in a program involved in food supply or utilization, farmland conservation or wood- lot management. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

MacNaughton Access Scholarships in Physics
Established by Earl B. MacNaughton, former head of the Department of Physics and founding Dean of the College of Physical Science, and faculty, staff and alumni of the Department of Physics, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Qualification(s): Students with demonstrated financial need who are in second year or beyond of a major physics program with a minimum cumulative average of 70% in the required physics courses of that program. Jay Majithia Scholarship
Provided to honour Professor Jay Majithia, in recognition of his support and leadership while a faculty member in the Department of Computing and Information Science, by Margaret Middleton, CPES '86 with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Qualification(s): Computer and Information Science students with demonstrated financial need registered in semester 3 or 7 and who have a minimum cumulative program average of 70%. The scholarship is available to students who are applying for, or participating in, departmental research, including a special project or an independent study option. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Masterfeeds Bursaries

Qualification(s): O.A.C. students in B.SC.(Agr.) Animal Science or B.SC. Animal Biology majors who have demonstrated financial need and, at the time of application, have a cumulative average of 60%. Students may receive one or two bursaries annually. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

O.A.C.'38 Lloyd Minshall Bursaries
Established by O.A.C.'38 Alumni, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, to recognize the many contributions of Lloyd Minshall to his classmates and to O.A.C.. Provided by O.A.C.'47 on the occasion of its 50th anniversary and with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Ontario Federation of Agriculture Bursaries
Provided by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and the O.A.C. Alumni Foundation with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a letter and a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I3520]
Qualification(s): O.A.C. students with demonstrated financial need enrolled in the B.SC.(Agr.), B.COMM., B.SC. or B.SC.(Env.) programs. Preference will be given to students from farm families who have participated in 4H and/or rural community activities. A student may receive up to three bursaries annually ($1,500). Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

Keith Ronald Undergraduate Scholarship
Established in honour of Professor Keith Ronald, founding Dean of the College of Biological Sciences, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Qualification(s): BSc. student, registered in CBS,who has completed at least 12.5 credits, who is entering the Marine Mammal and Oceanography Course, ZOO*4300, held at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, St. Andrew's, New Brunswick, and has maintained a cumulative average of at least 80%. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
Amount: One Award of $1500
Stephen Safe Scholarships in Toxicology
Established by Wellington Laboratories, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program to honour the achievements of Prof. Stephen Safe, a former faculty member at the University of Guelph. One letter of support should be provided from a faculty member who is not a member of the Selection Committee. Apply, including a reference letter and a completed Need Assessment Form, to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I4528]
Qualification(s): Students with demonstrated financial need in an undergraduate toxicology program at, or beyond, semester 5. Applicants should have achieved a minimum 77% cumulative average in the science courses of the previous two academic semesters. Previous recipients of the award may reapply in subsequent years, but preference will be given to those applicants who have not previously held this award. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).

T.K. Warley Bursaries
Established by O.A.C. Alumni Association, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, to recognize Professor T.K. Warley's significant contribution to the O.A.C. Alumni Foundation and to students through teaching and promotion/development of "Experience Agriculture". A degree student may receive this bursary twice. Donald P. Watson Bursaries in Horticultural Science
Established by the estate of Donald P. Watson, O.A.C.'34, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Apply with a completed Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I4501]
Qualification(s): Undergraduate students majoring in Horticultural Science, Landscape Architecture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science or Environmental Science, who have completed a minimum of 10.00 credits and who have demonstrated financial need. Recipients must have satisfactory academic standing in their last 10.00 credits. The scholarships will be awarded based on financial need. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
Amount: A number of awards ranging from $500 to $2,000
Wellington Laboratories Scholarships
Wellington Laboratories, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, established this award through an endowment provided by Mr. Brock Chittim of Wellington Laboratories. Highly qualified students will be notified by the Chair of the Department and the Department Awards Committee to complete a Need Assessment Form and submit to Student Financial Services by February 1. Awarded in the Winter semester. ACCESS AWARD [I4308]
Qualification(s): Students registered in year 4 (as least 15.0 credits complete) of the BSc Chemistry or Biochemistry majors (regular or co-op programs) or the BScTech Applied Pharmaceutical Chemistry program. In the event that there are no qualified candidates in year 4, students in year 2 and 3 (minimum 5.5 credits) will be considered. Student with demonstrated financial need and the highest cumulative averages in at least three 3000 level chemistry or biochemistry courses taken in year 3. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
