Entrance Scholarships with Financial Need

Bill Klopp Memorial Award [E0150]
Priority will be given to a student from Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Apply by letter, to Student Financial Services, outlining extracurricular activities and by completing the online Entrance Financial Need Assessment Application (N.A.F) by May 1. Students should complete theEntrance Financial Need Assessment application as soon as they receive their Acknowledgement Package from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student).

Qualification(s): Presented to a student entering semester 1 from the cities of Kitchener or Waterloo who has demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities who has shown satisfactory academic performance and who has financial need.
Amount: 1 award of $500
Kenneth O. Hammill-Blount Canada Scholarship [E4356]
Established in honour of Kenneth Osborne Hammill, a long time friend of the University and retired plant manager of Blount Canada, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. The winner is chosen from the list of alternates for the President's Scholarships. President's Scholarship nominees should complete the online Entrance Financial Need Assessment application as soon as they receive their Acknowledgement Package from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student). Deadline to submit the application is May 1. ACCESS AWARD.

The Blount Foundation, Inc.
Qualification(s): Students from the Province of Ontario, with demonstrated financial need, entering one of the following programs on an annual rotation: B.A. in 98/99, then B.A.Sc., B.Comm., B.SC., B.SC.(Agr.), B.SC.(Eng.), B.SC.(Env.). Recipients must maintain a B+ average or higher, continue to demonstrate financial need and be full-time students in order to qualify for subsequent installments. During the summer after the 3rd year, the scholars will propose, to Student Financial Services, an enrichment experiential undertaking related to the student's field of study; the grant application should include a detailed budget. A grant of up to $1,200 is available to support the undertaking, subject to continuing financial need and approval of the proposal by Student Financial Services. Upon completion , the student will write a report of the experience to Student Financial Services. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
Amount: 1 award of $9,600, payable in 8 payments of $1,200
Registrar's Entrance Scholarships [E0384]
Established by the University of Guelph to support entering undergraduate students with identified financial need. Students should complete the online Entrance Financial Need Assessment application as soon as they receive their Acknowledgement Package from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student). Deadline to submit the application is May 1. Scholarship offers will be made in May. This award is not tenable with the University of Guelph Accessibility Scholarship, but can be held with all other Entrance Awards.

Rol-Land Farms Scholarships [E4519]
Established by Rol-Land Farms, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, to attract entering students who might otherwise not be able to attend university for financial reasons. Students should complete the online Financial Need Assessmentapplication as soon as they receive their Acknowledgement Package from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student). Deadline to submit the application is May 1. ACCESS AWARD

Qualification(s): Outstanding entering undergraduate degree students with demonstrated financial need and a minimum 80% cumulative average. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
Amount: 13 awards of $2,000
University of Guelph Accessibility Scholarship [E3038]
Established by the University of Guelph to support entering undergraduate students with identified financial need. Students should complete the online Entrance Financial Need Assessment application as soon as they receive their Acknowledgement Package from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student). Deadline to submit the application is May 1. Scholarship offers will be made in May. This award is not tenable with the Registrar's Entrance Scholarship, but can be held with all other Entrance Awards. Approximately 150 awards of $9,000 ($3,000 in year one and $2,000 in years 2, 3 and 4).
