Beatrice Youngman Prize in Music [I4378]
The Guelph Music Club, with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program, has provided this annual scholarship to honour Beatrice Youngman, a former piano teacher, a volunteer and President of the Club, and a recognized contributor to music and culture within Guelph and the driving force of the Guelph Music Club for over twenty years. City of Guelph 175th Anniversary Awards [I0515]
Provided by the Guelph Community Foundation, in celebration of the 175th anniversary of the City of Guelph in 2002, as an investment for future generations. Apply to Student Financial Services, by October 7 of the second year of study, with a letter describing Guelph community and University community volunteer activities and extracurricular activities, a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.), and two reference letters not to exceed two pages in length from individuals familiar with the volunteer and/or community service contributions. Award may be held only once.

Qualification(s):	Undergraduate degree students with more than 5.0 credits and less than 10.5 credits of full-time study must have maintained a cumulative 70% average in all courses completed (5.0 credits or more) in the first year study and have demonstrated leadership and financial need. Selection will include equally weighted consideration of academic performance, leadership both on and off campus and financial need.

Erin Demers Memorial Scholarship [I0406]
The family and friends of Erin Demers, a first-year student at the University of Guelph who was tragically killed in a car accident in 1996, have established this scholarship in her memory. Apply to Student Financial Services by April 1 with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.), along with one supporting reference letter from a Residence Assistant, Residence Manager, or Residence Officer.

The student with the greatest financial need will be selected. If no students majoring in English are eligible, a student majoring in History may be selected using the same criteria. Gordon Ashton Scholarship [I4535]
Established in memory of Prof. Gordon Ashton, member of the Department of Physics and Mathematics (1956-1966) and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (1966-1986), with the assistance of the Ontario government's OSOTF program. Guelph Varsity Athletic Accessibility Scholarship [I0518]
Established by alumni and friends of the University of Guelph. Apply to Student Financial Services by October 7 providing a covering letter describing on- and off-campus academic and extra-curricular activities and a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.). Awarded at the annual Athletics Banquet.

Qualification(s):	Undergraduate degree or diploma students, with at least 5.0 credits and less than 20.5 credits, who are members of a varsity athletic team and who have demonstrated financial need, are eligible to apply. Students must have maintained at least a 70% cumulative average in all courses completed in the previous year of study (minimum 3.0 credits). Selection will be based upon equally weighted consideration of academic performance and evidence of leadership qualities. Students may receive the award up to four times.

Provided to honour Professor Jay Majithia, in recognition of his support and leadership while a faculty member in the Department of Computing and Information Science, by Margaret Middleton, C.P.E.S. Kathleen and R. Douglas Kennedy Scholarship in CSAHS [I0546]
Kathleen (MAC '39) and Douglas (O.A.C. '39) Kennedy met at a "hop" on campus in 1937 and later married. They established this scholarship to celebrate their time on campus and their 62 years of marriage. Studio Arts Specialized Studio Practice Scholarship [I4522]

This bursary is available to students who are related to a member of the U.G.R.A. as child, grand-child, or great grand-child. Selection will be based on the greatest demonstration of financial need. Apply to Student Financial Services by October 7 with a Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.) and a letter indicating the name of and relationship to the U.G.R.A. member.

William & Nona Heaslip Scholarship [I0589]
Two awards, each payable at $7,500 in the fall and winter semesters are awarded to a full-time undergraduate students in their second year of study in any degree program with a minimum 70% cumulative average and demonstrated financial need. Recipients of this award can have this award renewed for up to 3 years provided they continue to demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum 70% cumulative average. Students must apply to Student Financial Services by submitting a Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.) by October 7.
