Co-operative Education & Career Services

Co-operative Education & Career Services (CECS) supports, trains and leads students and alumni as they make career and further education planning decisions. Successful students connect with CECS early in their academic career and take full advantage of the career planning and job search services offered. CECS will help students to discern “what to do with their degree”. http://www.cecs.uoguelph.ca/home/

The CECS job posting website, Recruit Guelph www.recruitguelph.ca provides online job postings including full-time, part-time, summer and internships. Job & Career Fairs and employer networking events also provide exposure to the world of work. COOP*1000, a mandatory non-credit course that will prepare you for your work experience.

Co-operative Education is available in over 38 majors for students who are interested in gaining work related experience while studying. Co-operative Education is a program that formally integrates a student’s academic studies with work experience with participating employers. The University of Guelph Co-operative Education program is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE).
