Student Profile Form (SPF)

For High School Applicants

Admission to the University of Guelph is primarily based on grades. However, the Student Profile Form (SPF) provides an opportunity for you to share more about yourself. You can use it to highlight things like your involvement in clubs, sports, volunteer work, or leadership roles, and explain how these experiences have helped you grow and prepare for university life. You can also use the form to tell us about any challenges outside your control that may have affected your academic performance. Filling out the SPF is optional, but we strongly recommend it.

No third-party documentation is required.

Protection of Privacy: Personal information is collected under the authority of the University of Guelph Act (1964), and in accordance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/index.html. This information is used by Admission Services and will be used for admission purposes only. Questions about this collection of personal information should be directed to Admission Services at admission@uoguelph.ca.

How the SPF is used: SPF submissions are considered in the final round of offers. If your admission average in May does not meet the cut-off for the program(s) to which you have applied, your SPF may be considered if your average falls within a discretionary range of the final cut-off (range varies by program and will not be more than 5%). SPF submissions are used for admission purposes only; not for fulfilling conditions.

Disclaimer: Submitting the SPF does not guarantee admission.
