Laboratory Assistant [lab_665]

Work with Shoveller laboratory to conduct research on the behaviour and metabolism of domestic cats. Assist in various duties that may include, but is not restricted to:

  • Assisting graduate students and staff on research projects;
  • Animal handling and data collection;
  • Record keeping and data entry into spreadsheets;
  • Analysis of digital video and audio recordings;
  • Misc. laboratory tasks (e.g. clean, disinfect and maintain tools and equipment)

Preferred Qualifications

3rd or 4th year in Animal Biology/Zoology major or similar academic background. Ability to work independently. Previous lab experience is an asset.

Preferred Hours

(It is recommended that students work no more than 10 to 15 hours per week) somewhat flexible
