BBRM Equine Management Program Assistant [mis_996]

Assist in various duties concerning the BBRM Equine Management degree program. This may include, but is not restricted to:

  • Visiting local farms and businesses to determine potential projects for EQN4500 Integrated Project course
  • Assisting with the planning for the annual Equine Industry Symposium
  • Attending meetings where possible for curriculum and program development
  • Determining and securing resources and supplies needed to carry out the projects
  • Creating a current listserv of BBRM-equine graduates for the purpose of updating and networking
  • Other general office duties including filing, work processing, compilation of lab manuals, ordering of supplies for various courses, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally suited to a BBRM-equine management student
  • Knowledge of the equine industry
  • Personable and outgoing to interact with local equine business owners and develop mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Good telephone manners and email skills
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Hold valid driver's license.

Preferred Hours

10 hours/week (flexible)
