Tuition and Fees

Billing and payment are done on a semesterly basis rather than annually. In an effort to spread out the financial burden, payments are required at the start of each semester instead of having to pay the entire amount all at once at the beginning of the school year.

Out of concern for the safety and security of both our students and staff, Student Financial Services will no longer accept cash payments. Online payments will take three business days to reach our office. Please verify on your WebAdvisor (after 72 business hrs) to ensure payment has been received and keep a copy of your transaction record.

Tuition and fees are calculated based on academic program, course load, cohort year, citizenship, room and meal plan selection and parking if required. These fees (tuition, compulsory fees, registration deposit, meal plan and residence fees - excluding the residence deposit) are due by the semester deadline date posted. Students' accounts may be viewed through WebAdvisor. The University does not issue printed bills or statements. If you have questions about a cohort that is not displayed here, please check your WebAdvisor account or contact accquest@uoguelph.ca.

If you are a dependent of a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, diplomat or visitor with an employer-specific work permit, you may qualify for the domestic tuition rate. Read more about eligibility, required documentation and deadlines. If your immigration status changes over the course of your degree and you become eligible for a reduced tuition rate, please ensure that you submit the required documents by the deadline so that you are billed the appropriate tuition amount.
