Description

The Pork Safety, Quality and Human Nutrition Committee of National Pork Board is requesting pre-proposals in the following areas of Human Nutrition Research: Protein in a Health Diet & Dietary Pork; Cardiometabolic Well-being & Dietary Pork; Dietary Nutrients and Functions & Dietary Pork. The LOI will be used for initial screening. Specific research topics are listed above and further information on these can be found in the RFP.

Funding Availability

There are no exact funding limits for submitted proposals but the budget request should be appropriate and justified for the work that is being proposed. In most of the solicitations, researchers are encouraged to find matching funds or in-kind contributions when possible.

Projects may be multi-year.

External Deadline

Applicant submits LOI to beveritt@pork.org

Full Application Internal Deadline

Full applications (if invited) are due one week in advance of the external deadline. Principal Investigator submits a completed OR-5 form along with application to: Research.Services@uoguelph.ca.

Full Application External Deadline

Once the ORS signature has been obtained, PI submits full application to National Pork Board by the due date and in accordance to the instructions received from NPB.
