Description

You are invited to attend a Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS) Townhall, on October 29, 2026, 9:00 am – 10:30 am, Room 246A, Robert Whitelaw Room, McLaughlin Library. A virtual participation option will also be available via the MS Teams link provided below.

The Town Hall will provide an opportunity to introduce the UofG DIS team, share the vision and strategic direction of this initiative, outline plans for engagement, and highlight the important role the University of Guelph can play in advancing Canada's sovereignty and security priorities at this critical time.

The University of Guelph’s Defence Industrial Strategy is focused on defence, security, sovereignty, resilience and dual-use innovation. The initiative will connect U of G’s research, training and partnership strengths with national priorities, creating new opportunities for researchers to contribute expertise in areas such as agri-food systems, One Health, biosecurity, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, advanced materials, climate resilience and public policy.

We encourage you to join this important conversation and explore how U of G can contribute to these evolving national and provincial priorities.

We look forward to your participation.
