  • The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Canada is hosting a webinar on “Harnessing the potential of AI in Science”. They are bringing together experts and policy makers from Canada and the EU to facilitate a discussion on how AI can support scientific excellence and competitiveness, while remaining human centered, trustworthy and responsible. The webinar will also highlight opportunities for Canada-EU collaboration in AI, including Horizon Europe. Please register for the online webinar by May 24^th.
• May 27, 12:00 to 1:00pm Eastern:
  • Horizon Europe Pillar 2 Info Session for North America: Join an info session on Horizon Europe for researchers and institutions interested in European Union funding and collaboration opportunities. The info session will highlight the final two years of the current R&I framework program. Interested attendees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the program ahead of time. Recent Pillar 2 webinars include these thematic info sessions and these cluster-specific info sessions. Please register for the online info session. Advance registration is required.

Matchmaking Events

• June 4:
  • The European Union and the Republic of Türkiye are hosting a virtual matchmaking event focused on clean technologies, advanced materials and bio-based solutions. Using the B2Match platform, participants will have an opportunity to conduct bilateral meetings with potential partners and join consortia for Horizon Europe projects. Please register for the virtual event as soon as possible.
• June 9, 8:30 to 10:30am Eastern: 
  • International Collaboration on AI & Digital Technologies: This virtual matchmaking event will bring together researchers and innovators from Canada, Germany, France and South Korea to forge new partnerships towards the 2027 Horizon Europe Cluster 4 calls. This event will focus on call for proposals relating to artificial intelligence, robotics, data and digital technologies. Please register for the virtual event by June 3.
    • Attendees will have an option to provide a 3-minute pitch of their research. After the event, all registrants will receive a copy of the presentation slides, pitch decks and a list of registrations. If you would like to pitch, please indicate your interest, expertise and alignment with the calls in the registration form.
