Description

The Jonas Salk Award is presented to a Canadian scientist, physician or researcher who has made a new and outstanding contribution in science or medicine to prevent, alleviate or eliminate a physical disability

Eligibility

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident residing in Canada
  2. Have made a significant contribution to science or medicine
  3. Research conducted must have resulted in a significant advancement in scientific knowledge, prevention, treatment or cure of a physically disabling condition
  4. Research findings must have been published in peer reviewed journals

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.

The completed Nomination Form [1] must be submitted by March 22nd to ehuang@marchofdimes.ca [2].  Candidates and their nominator will be contacted if they have been shortlisted for the award after this date.  Mailed submissions will not be accepted.
