Message from NSERC - Extension with funds

To lessen the impact of COVID-19 and to support all of our researchers and highly qualified personnel, all grantees holding an active Discovery Grant as of April 2020 can elect to receive a one-year extension with funds at their current funding level. This one-year extension with funds is available for the following programs: Discovery Grants, Discovery Grants – Subatomic Physics (Individual, Project and Major Resources), Discovery Grants Northern Research Supplements and Discovery Development Grants.

You will be sent a system-generated email from NSERC before the end of June prompting you to access a secure website where you can accept or decline the funded extension, to begin April 2021. The deadline to submit your response is September 15, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ET. If you do not receive the system-generated email by July 1, 2020, first check your spam email folder and then contact NSERC at resgrant@nserc-crsng.gc.ca [1].

Note: accepting this funded extension will automatically disqualify you from the 2021 Discovery Grants competition.
