Mitacs will host two webinars showcasing how its flagship programs – particularly Accelerate and the Globalink Research Award – can be used to build and strengthen European research and innovation collaborations, with a focus on Horizon Europe. The sessions will highlight where and how Mitacs programs can be integrated into Horizon Europe consortia and projects, either as standalone mechanisms or in complement to the International Mobility Award (IMA).

As Canada continues to advance its research collaborations with Europe, Mitacs recognizes the vital role of Horizon Europe in supporting these partnerships. Mitacs was pleased to introduce the Horizon Europe International Mobility Award (IMA) earlier this year, providing researchers with opportunities to engage directly with European consortia and strengthen Canada’s strategic participation in Pillar II calls.

Mitacs is sharing aggregated data from the inaugural IMA call, visualized in a one-pager, to help guide institutions' Horizon Europe engagement.  

To further support engagement in European collaboration and Horizon Europe initiatives, Mitacs is offering additional resources and upcoming opportunities to help partners effectively leverage Mitacs programs across different stages of collaboration development, the first being their information session on their Accelerate and Globalink Research Awards.
