Description

On behalf of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the Rare Diseases: Models and Mechanisms Network, we would like to invite applications from clinicians and clinician scientists who have discovered novel genes in patients with rare diseases and wish to collaborate with a model organism investigator who is able to carry out functional analysis on an orthologous gene in a model system.

Eligibility

Faculty affiliated with an eligible Canadian institution.

Funding Availability

Maximum $25,000 will be awarded for each Catalyst grant.

Special Notes

The Network has no formal requirement for partnering. Applications are welcomed from pre-existing or newly formed teams of clinicians and model organism investigators who share an interest in pursuing a disease gene discovery.
