Guelph Wastewater Facility (GWF) A bench and pilot-scale facility constructed adjacent to the City of Guelph’s municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant, the GWF is owned and operated by the University of Guelph and supported by Ontario Water Consortium.
The GWF has five pilot-scale stations, an ecotoxicology lab, and two basic analytical labs. Users have access to various process streams, including raw wastewater, primary effluent, secondary effluent, tertiary effluent, raw sludge, waste-activated sludge and thickened waste-activated sludge.
The facility also includes two complementary state-of-the-art analytical labs located at the University of Guelph. Analytical equipment include GC/MS, TOC, respirometer, real-time PCR, refrigerated centrifuge, incubator shaker, autoclave, and a digital imaging fluorescence microscope.

The Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry GWC2 is one of Canada’s largest and most successful graduate schools. The Centre is housed in the Chemistry Department at Guelph and the Chemistry Department at Waterloo, two of Canada’s highest-rated Universities.

Institute for Sustainable Commerce at Guelph Supports and advances research and curriculum innovations related to business sustainability, corporate social responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) research through a coalition of experts in the field.
The Institute acts as a hub for the generation of new research and dissemination of knowledge while being collaborative and inclusive, increasing business sustainability-related curricular and co-curricular content and activities, and enhancing local and global community outreach engagement.
