About the Initiative

The Guelph Brazil Initiative (GBI) has been created to foster faculty collaboration in research as well as to promote existing partnerships and programs that benefit stakeholders from the University of Guelph and Brazil.

Many successful partnerships have been created between universities and government agencies in Brazil and the University of Guelph. We continue to explore opportunities that are of mutual benefit: from Science without Borders to individual faculty research collaborations and graduate student projects, the University of Guelph continues to promote our research strength and international presence in Brazil.

In the same manner, Brazilian faculty and students come to the University of Guelph to both cultivate and share their own knowledge.
