Visit of Brazilian Consulate General & Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce

On February 21, 2017, the University of Guelph hosted representatives of the Brazilian Consulate General in Toronto (Ambassador Ana Lélia Benincá Beltrame, Dr. Ademar Seabra da Cruz and Dr. Adriana Hannickel), as well as the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (Ms. Carolina Mangabeira Albernaz and Mr. Marcelo König Sarkis). The delegation toured the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario and the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre, visited representatives of the Ontario Agricultural College, the Catalyst Centre and the Food Insitute, participated in a luncheon meeting focused on educational issues and opportunities, attended a gathering of University of Guelph and Brazilian researchers and students, and ended the day meeting with University administrative officers.
