Governments and companies need timely, credible information that can help them make good decisions - this is especially important right now, when we are facing unprecedented challenges to our food systems due to COVID-19.

To help industry and governments make these decisions, we are moving our Policy Fellowships program online this Fall and Winter. This program gives industry, government and NGOs working on issues related to agriculture, food and biodiversity an opportunity to discuss the challenges you are facing with academic experts - brainstorming solutions and learning about innovative research that you can apply to your own work. The cost of programming is covered by Food from Thought, so participation is free.

The program – normally an intensive three days of meetings – will now consist of a ½ day of virtual meetings per week for six weeks. It will continue to include one-on-one and small group meetings with academic experts, as well as opportunities to meet virtually with other Policy Fellows in the program to network and discuss shared challenges.

We are currently accepting applications for both the Fall and Winter cohorts of the Fellowship! Apply by July 31 to take part in our September 2020 cohort, and by December 18 to take part in our February 2021 cohort. While there are benefits to the cohort model, we know that your schedule may conflict with the timed cohorts. If the cohort schedule doesn’t work for you, we also offer individual Fellowships at any time of the year.
