Dr. Sherri Cox joined the Office of Research in 2013. She has an extensive business background in the private sector, having served as a vice-president with a Fortune 100 company (financial services). She returned to the University of Guelph to fulfil her passion to help wildlife in need. In 2009 Sherri received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Guelph.
Recognizing the opportunity to combine her love of science and administration, Sherri joined the Ontario Veterinary College and held the position of Chief Operating Officer, Health Sciences Centre, and Associate Dean, Administration. In 2013, Sherri moved to the Office of Research where she is thrilled to be part of the incredible momentum to enhance our research innovation agenda at the University of Guelph, as the Executive Director of the newly-formed Research Innovation Office. In her spare time, Sherri volunteers as a wildlife veterinarian helping sick and injured wildlife.
