Exciting upcoming opportunity for student leaders on our campus i.e. the annual Student Leaders Interacting and Collaborating Conference (SLIC).

“SLIC is a great chance for students to network with peer leaders at Guelph, and attend concurrent sessions on topics like self-care and wellness, conflict management etc. You will also have specific times to participate in team building activities and goal setting for the year ahead. 2015 Ontario Pest Management Conference Call for Student Submissions

This year the Ontario Pest Management Conference (OPMC) will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Victoria Park East Golf Course, Guelph, ON. Research presented at the OPMC will focus on all aspects of pest management associated with food and fibre production, and animal and human health. The theme of this year’s conference is “Convergence of Food Security and Sustainable Pest Management”. 

Senior Research Assistant in Plant Ecology at the University of Tübingen

The Plant Ecology Group at the University of Tübingen is searching for a Senior Research Assistant in Plant Ecology

The position is equivalent to a Lecturer or Assistant Professor position (German pay scale E13 TV-L). It is not tenured but scheduled for an initial period of three years with an option for extension. The starting date is negotiable, but an ideal starting time is Sept. 1st, 2015.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Dairy Microbiology

This is an opportunity to join a new dairy microbiology group funded by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. and experience in the field of dairy science with an understanding of the physical, biochemical and microbiological principles in relation to dairy and/or food systems. You will contribute to the writing of grant proposals through literature review and design of innovative approaches to improving the quality and health applications of dairy products.

Morgan Jackson is one of the Winners of the NSERC-CRSNG Science Action contest

Congratulations to Morgan Jackson who was one of the Top 3 winners in the Science category.The public has voted, the judges’ scores have been tallied and the results are in. The 15 winners of NSERC’s Science, Action! video contest are revealed. NSERC would like to thank all of the students who submitted videos for this competition, and the members of the public who took the time to watch and share these great examples of science and engineering research.
