What are considered “days” when posting/offering/accepting?

Art. 1.04 in the Collective Agreement reads:

For the purpose of interpretation of this Agreement, the following definitions will apply:

(c) Unless otherwise specified, a ‘day’ is a working day in the University’s Human Resources Division;

What if a TA or SL does not accept an Offer of Appointment before the deadline?

Unlike Job Postings, an extended Offer of Appointment does not automatically expire on the deadline date. This means that a TA or SL will continue to be able to View and Respond to the Pending Offer (in their Profile - > Work Assignment Dashboard) until the Offer Status is changed to Candidate Withdrawn or UofG Withdrawn.

What to do when someone withdraws from a work assignment AFTER they have accepted the Offer?

As the acceptance of an offer creates a Work Record, which when closed assigns a SP, it is critical that the Offer and the Work Record be edited when an employee withdraws from a work assignment (or when the academic unit withdraws a work assignment).  

What do I do when a TA or SL reports a problem with the system?

Academic Unit Job Editors are the first line of support for their TAs and SLs. It is critical to be familiar with not only the role of the Job Editor in the system (i.e., managing work assignment postings, applications/competitions, offers and work assignment closures), but also how TAs and SLs experience the system as applicants. There are a number of strategies that will help in this regard:
