IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING FALL 2020 WORK ASSIGNMENTS AND COURSE DELIVERY: When applying for this work assignment, please be aware that this course is being offered in an Alternative Delivery Synchronous format. Requirements for Fall 2020 course delivery include: Course should be designed and delivered within an inclusive and accessible learning environment consistent with the principles of Universal Instructional Design (see: https://opened.uoguelph.ca/student-resources/Universal-Instructional-Design). Course learning activities and assessments are to be created to easily accommodate the alternative delivery method. Submission of a final and deferred exam, if applicable, is to be given to the department ahead of the exam period. Plan to offer the final exam in a modified format, if applicable. A minimum of (1) a Masters degree with professional experience in community/land development planning or (2) a BLA with significant professional experience in land/development planning
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Candidates should have proven studio-based teaching ability; experience in teaching design (site- and/or land-planning courses) requiring student critiques; familiarity with the application of an integrative design process (environmental, social, cultural, economic) related to land preservation, conservation, and development; experience with regional scale design and master planning for communities. Projects will focus on land planning, community design, urban design, and should integrate techniques related to public engagement and communication for land development projects.
