This work assignment includes Practicum coordination for 3rd year practicum experiences for students in the Adult Development stream of the BASc degree program, including supervision of students in field placement and conducting on-site visits.

Other Duties Described: 
A. Weekly Instruction (Academic and Placement Curriculum). Prepare and submit course outlines. Prepare and implement curriculum for weekly field seminar classes, adhering to the respective course outline. Facilitate students' completion of evaluation strategies. Review and grade student submissions of the evaluation components as indicated in respective course outlines. Meet with students during office hours. B. Supervision of Students in Field Placement Conduct on-site visits at agencies for all students. Meet with both the students and agency field supervising teachers/supervisors. Work with students and agency field supervising teachers around issues of concern to develop strategies addressing concerns. Liaise in an on-going manner with agencies (email and phone). Complete 15 minutes de-briefing meetings with all students at the end of the semester. Collaborate with the BASc Practicum Coordinator during the course of study. C. Following the end of the semester, as per Article 14.10 (a) in your Collective Agreement, you may also be requested to perform work as outlined therein. Reimbursement will be paid in accordance with Schedule "B" of the Collective Agreement upon submission of the extra hours and dates worked to the Department Chair provided the Department Chair and Sessional previously agreed to the specific work/hours/dates.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Degree: 
Masters related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
or Completion of UNIV*6800 University Teaching: Theory & Practice, or similar training
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Professional experience relevant to the human services field. Background, knowledge & experience in the field of practicum instruction and supervision of undergraduate students or related student population.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
