Other Duties Described: 
- Composing, grading and providing feedback for all course assignments, term tests, and final exams, in conjunction with assigned Graduate Teaching Assistants. We strongly recommend the use of grading rubrics for student assignments. - Creation and maintenance of CourseLink site, including discussion board monitoring where appropriate. - Supervision of Graduate Teaching Assistants, in accordance with relevant Collective Agreement. - Providing the Department with an updated course outline at your earliest convenience and by one week before the start of classes. Any significant changes to the course outline, including but not limited to a change in textbook or assessment strategies, must be approved by the Department Chair. - Following the end of the semester, as per Article 14.10(a) in your Collective Agreement, you may also be requested to perform work as outlined therein. Reimbursement will be paid in accordance with Schedule ‘B’ of the Collective Agreement upon submission of the extra hours and dates worked, to the Department Chair and provided the Department Chair and Sessional previously agreed to the specific work/hours/dates. Instructors of the two sections of this course must ensure consistent approach and standards.

Required Qualifications
Degree: 
Masters related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
or completion of UNIV*6800 University Teaching: Theory and Practice, or similar training
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Background, knowledge and experience in the field of couple and family relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in areas relevant to the course demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Experience teaching large classes, including the use of online resources. Demonstrable ability to teach themes of power, intimacy and family diversity.

Section 01: Wednesdays 7:00 - 9:50 pm. Section 02: Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:50 pm
