Other Duties Described: 
Positions entail marking assignments, (must be able to return marked assignments on time); as well as answering students' questions on-line on a daily basis throughout the semester. Be available for appointments for student tutoring. Re-grading of assignments as necessary. Collaborating and mentoring.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
• As per the Collective Agreement, must be enrolled as a student in the Winter 2019 semester. • Very strong written communications skills, with a focus on providing feedback and instructions. • Experience with distance education courses either as a student or as a TA. • Must have passed CIS*3190 (Software for Legacy Systems (DE)), with the minimum grade of 80%. • Ability to collect and process grades using Excel. • A demonstrated knowledge of command-line programming, and Unix-based systems. • Ability to program in the programming languages Ada, Fortran, and Cobol.
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Previous successful TA experience supporting CIS*3190 (Software for Legacy Systems (DE)). • Experience using CourseLink for grade management.
