Other Duties Described: 
These teaching assistantships are for the support of online courses. Candidates must be prepared to work outside the regular 9-5 work week, and have access to the internet and a computer that meets minimum requirement. Must be available to moderate online forums, if applicable, as assigned by the instructor.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
• As per the Collective Agreement, must be enrolled as a student in the Fall 2019 semester. • Have completed CIS*2500 (Intermediate Programming) or a similar course with a minimum grade of 75%. • Must have excellent writing skills and be able to effectively critique student assignments in writing. • The ability to communicate computer science concepts to students effectively, both in written form and verbally. • Experience with distance education courses either as a student or as a TA. • Experience using any software/hardware that is employed in CIS*1250 (Software Design I). • Demonstrated knowledge of CIS*1200 (Introduction to Computing (DE)) subject area through course development or having recently taken a similar undergraduate or graduate course.
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Previous successful TA experience supporting CIS*1200 (Introduction to Computing (DE)).
