Required Qualifications:
Applicants must: a) be enrolled in a Chemistry or Toxicology graduate program with an emphasis in analytical chemistry, b) have completed a B.SC. degree in chemistry or toxicology, c) have experience running chromatography and spectroscopy instruments, d) have experience teaching in chemistry laboratories, e) be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching, f) be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place, and g) be able to demonstrate previous satisfactory teaching performance. Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink).
Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with GC, HPLC, AAS, ICP-OES, GCMS and LCMS.
