Other Duties Described: 
When applying for this work assignment, please be aware that statistical analysis software support is being delivered in a remote online format in F2020, and could be delivered in an online, in-person, or a blend of both in W2021. Provide introductory level support for statistical analysis software questions through virtual one-on-one consultations with students, staff or faculty. Referral of complex, advanced consultation requests to the analyst on staff. Provide support to analyst for intermediate level consultations. Monitor incoming online requests for support. Assist analyst with development and delivery of synchronous and asynchronous workshops and course-related session content. Participate in other data skills related duties as required. Attend training sessions as required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Current registration in a graduate program at the University of Guelph. Demonstrated experience in using at least 2 of the following software programs in a research setting: SAS, SPSS, R, Qualtrics, NVivo, Stata. Experience providing instruction. Demonstrated knowledge of research methods. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience working or studying in more than one academic discipline. Experience providing instruction using online collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, CiscoWebEx, Courselink. Basic knowledge of AODA requirements in preparing support materials such as workshop content. Basic knowledge of common open and subscription-based data products available to users.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
The hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. These positions will work between three (3) and five (5) hour shifts, based on availability to be determined between the supervisor and the individual (employee).
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
November 23, 2020 to May 4, 2021
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GSA $42.73/hr; $5984.76/semester effective 2020/21
