Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
Implementation of two career focused modules in first and second year biology courses including the training of course-level GTAs and collection of feedback from students. Revisions to both the training and module materials for future offerings will be required. Work will be done mostly in person with a possibility of some remote work as applicable. This is a 1.0 GSA spread out over two semesters. The student must be available for both semesters at a one half appointment each semester.

Other Duties Described: 
Implementation of two career focused modules in first and second year biology courses including the training of course-level GTAs and collection of feedback from students. Revisions to both the training and module materials for future offerings will be required. Develop training materials to support graduate teaching assistants in delivering seminar activities. Test, gather feedback and revise content for both the module and training materials. Establish and plan metrics of success to be applied in the fall and winter semesters. Adding needed materials and supports within the learning management system.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate student with curriculum development experience, experience with an LMS and and awareness of EDI principles. Self-management, Initiative: Can work independently and seek guidance and input as needed Creativity, Problem-Solving, Adaptability: Can develop engaging, interactive activities for a large audience and adapt based on feedback Written Communication: Can develop clear training materials and activity resources Oral Communication, Leadership: Can facilitate on-campus and/or virtual training sessions for graduate students
Preferred Qualifications: 
PhD student preferred Exposure to BIOL1080 and MBG2040, the Challenge Mindset preferred.

Days and Times Required: 
Per supervisor This is a 0.5 GSA per semester, fall and winter, so 70 hours will be required in the fall semester and 70 in the winter. An offer will be issued each semester for the appropriate hours.

GSA-1 $43.73/hr; $6125.96/semester effective 2022/23
